We constantly strive for perfection in a sustainable way. Therefore, we put a continued effort into using sustainably sourced materials. Whether it is recycled polyester, or long lasting materials, we look for improvement opportunities constantly.

As a company, ThePack is committed to source sustainably and to inspire our community to live and breathe in sync with those values. As a small brand, this might sometimes be challenging, however we don’t give up our continued fight in collaboration with organizations and manufacturers who share that exact same vision. We also strive to communicate our vision with transparency, honesty and integrity.

CLIMATE COMMITMENT

Commencing 1 August 2022 we've committed to making all our shipments carbon-neutral. We've collaborated with the Planet app to neutralize our shipping emissions and to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Carbon removal is the process of capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and then storing it.

For example, if a truck and/or plane that delivers your shipment releases 1 kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, then we ensure that 1kg of CO2 is also sucked from the atmosphere and stored away using solutions and technologies in the Shopify Sustainability Fund. There is a fast-growing and evolving sector with many carbon removal technologies in different stages of development. These technologies include nature-based solutions, such as reforestation and soil carbon sequestration and more high-tech solutions, such as direct air capture and mineralization.

To estimate your emissions, we use order tracking data associated with the tracking number assigned to the shipment thus using the exact distance travelled. We remove only carbon (CO2) emissions that account for 95% of the climate impact from burning fossil fuels for transportation. Other emissions such as CH4, N2O, and GHG aren’t removed.
